Error 15 file not found gentoo

I'd verify that I have all the needed filesystem support in the kernel which I wouldn't think would be a problem if you're using genkernel, although I myself have never used it. Sorry I can't offer more. To my knowledge this is Grub error letting you know the file specified as kernel image is not found. Look for typos in grub. You are getting this error before root is mounted and way before fstab is read. Please learn how to denote units correctly!

It won't hurt to set the flag, though.

I don't use grub, but if you're still experiencing the error, maybe you should post your grub. Also, I notice you have a GPT partition table on sda. And no emerge means no installs from the Gentoo packaging system. Or you maybe have a broken portage after failed update with missing emerge command or missing or broken portage modules. You need just a working python 2.

Look below for more details. This is the latest portage with working emerge command in the bin sub-directory. Posted: Thu Sep 14, pm Post subject:. Its full name is Code:. I remember reading some where to do this: Code:. Ok, this is obviuslly not working. I just did it 2wic, again.

Can I accsess my grub. If there is, I don't know how to do it I'm hopeing I can simply edit and save it with the correct info Bob Leny, Boot the liveCD. Posted: Fri Sep 15, am Post subject:. I get a Grub error And yeah, when I reboot, I get the error Whats going on? Posted: Sat Sep 16, pm Post subject:.

Hi and welcome to the forums. With such a setup, I wouldn't be surprised if GRUB sees disks differently than your kernel was seeing them. Write root hd and press TAB. You should see your disks. Then complete the line to root hd0, and press TAB again. You should see the available partitions.
