Unfortunately, um, the Windows Troubleshooter doesn't really give any useful solution, but thank you for your information. From the front-end controls, Windows Defender can't be disabled - at least not for longer than 15minutes not sure what the point of that is. It should be stressed that if your Windows 10 machine is connected to the internet at any time, you should have other security provisions in place before turning off Defender.
